Our Vision
A commitment to healthcare access for all Americans regardless of socioeconomic status and the vital importance of advancing community health are core elements of our mission across the six colleges of Rosalind Franklin University. Over the years we have grown and expanded the University’s Global Health program to provide students with a broader perspective of these critical issues. We encourage alumni to join us in this effort by sharing their knowledge, experience, and connections as well as through ongoing education offered by the University to bolster sustainable global health systems worldwide.
Our students are the future of healthcare and can learn from the experiences of those who came before them. There are a number of opportunities for you to join the RFUMS Global Health Alumni Network!
Share Your Global Impact
Many of our alumni are on the front lines of global health—working in NGOs, government agencies, hospitals, and research institutions across the globe. Or they actively volunteer their time and expertise on medical service trips, or would like to in the future.
- Can you open doors to a new elective rotation site for students today?
- Would you like to mentor students as they learn about culture and health care in other countries?
Please tell us about your current involvement in global health so students can learn from your experiences. New student opportunities are very much in demand.

Mentor a Student
We believe that our alumni can provide valuable perspectives to our current RFUMS students, who are eager to learn about the experiences of others, how global health studies have impacted their careers and how graduates have integrated global health experiences into their lives and careers.
Support Students Today
RFU students today share a heartfelt commitment to global health because they have grown up in communities where health disparities are a way of life. Many are first generation students who served as medical translators for parents and grandparents, beginning even in middle school. That also means the most committed often lack the financial resources to participate in Global Health elective rotations which cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars in addition to their tuition. But thanks to your generosity, what they learn and experience in even a month could shape their medical practice for an entire career.
