How to Make an Appointment

To meet with a Student Counseling Service clinician, you will need to schedule an appointment. Appointments can be made by calling 847-578-8723. Please note that although we may not answer your call because we are in session you should leave a message on this confidential voicemail box. We check it frequently throughout the day and will get back to you. We will work with you to find a time that fits your busy schedule.

Initial Consultation-what to expect

During the Initial Consultation appointment you will complete preliminary paperwork electronically and will meet with a clinician for approximately an hour to discuss your presenting concerns. During the initial consultation appointment, you and the clinician may decide on one or more of the following options:

  1. Individual counseling at Student Counseling Service
  2. A referral to another Rosalind Franklin University resource
  3. A therapy or assessment referral to an off-campus agency or resource
  4. A referral for psychiatric consultation to an off-campus agency or resource
