Transferring to Scholl

Connect with Scholl

Candidates for advanced standing or transfer to the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine should contact the admissions office directly at scholl.admission@rosalindfranklin.edu, or 847-578-3204. Advanced standing or transfer is decided by the Admissions Committee and decided on an individual basis.

To be eligible for consideration, you must:

  1. Advise the Scholl College Admissions Office.
  2. Apply via AACPMAS.
  3. Complete supplemental application prior to February 1. (No exceptions can be made to this deadline.)
  4. Have successfully completed all coursework, credit hours and admission test requirements for first-year admission.
  5. Provide a letter from the Dean, or other appropriate official, of the podiatric medical school you are currently attending.

All applicants who are interested in transfer/advanced standing status at Scholl College must apply with the same requirements (current MCAT, transcripts and letters of recommendation) as new applicants. In addition, candidates must be in good academic standing at a current US college of podiatric medicine or have left a US college of podiatric medicine in good academic standing and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Request for transfer credit will be evaluated by the course director of the requested course, in consultation with the department chair. At the recommendation of the department chair, transfer students may be required to sit for a proficiency examination in order to receive transfer credit for certain courses or a certain number of credit hours. All proficiency exams must be completed at least two weeks prior to the start of classes for the next academic year.
