Colorado Location

Rosalind Franklin University is excited to offer the first fully accredited program for nurse anesthesia in Colorado, with official approval from the COA obtained in December 2023.  With this innovative and student-driven approach to learning, the program will operate as one unified program, leveraging the expertise and experience of the faculty and program leadership to offer a comprehensive and tested curriculum in two locations. The RFU Nurse Anesthesia Community of faculty and staff leverages virtual classroom and meeting technologies to ensure effective communication and delivery of the curriculum in real time.

In collaboration with the Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS), the nurse anesthesia program utilizes several physical resources to deliver the curriculum and simulation experiences.

The physical resources at the Colorado location include a variety of classroom spaces, study spaces, conference rooms, a high-fidelity simulation lab, and a skills lab for low-fidelity training.

The simulation lab at UCCS is accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.

In addition to the delivery of the didactic content in Quarters 4-6, residents assigned to the Colorado location will complete the majority of their clinical training in Colorado as well.  As in all clinical training locations, residents should expect to travel for required clinical experiences and may spend 1-2 rotations in IL or WI to obtain those cases.
