Elizabeth Perez is a Navy Veteran and an enrolled tribal member of the North Fork Rancheria Mono Indians. She is the former deputy secretary of the California Department of Veterans Affairs & Tribal Liaison, leads both a clean energy and healthcare firm based in San Diego and is a member of the San Diego chapter of the Truman National Security Project. 

She is a well-known advocate and leader that fights for inclusion, diversity, social, and economic justice issues within marginalized communities. This is especially true for the Native American population. She lives in Vista, California with her two children.
