Yovanna Pomarico, MBA, CMA

Assistant Professor

Yovanna Pomarico has an MBA with a concentration in Health Care Management, and has 15 years of experience in higher education with allied health program operations and curriculum development. She has a long history of experience in supporting students who are seeking education within the healthcare professions.

In addition to Professor Pomarico’s passion for higher education, she also has experience working in the non-profit sector with immigrants and underserved Latino communities. In her most recent position as Deputy Director she developed programs that provided educational and employment opportunities associated with local colleges and workforce development training programs to youth between the ages of 16-24 as well as offered programs focused on the immigrant community and the professionals that support them which provided education, guidance, counseling, and application waivers to those with language and/or financial barriers.

Professor Pomarico is committed to promoting and delivering interprofessional education and encouraging collaborations to advance the philosophy and mission of Rosalind Franklin University by using an outcomes-based teaching approach that in turn will help improve the quality of care across the U.S. healthcare system.
