Dr. Nitika Pant graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.S. in Information and Decision Sciences and a minor in German Language and Literature. She found her calling as a physician after graduating from college and returned to take pre-medical courses before applying to medical school. In the meantime, she worked in a GI research lab at UIC and co-authored academic papers.

She went on to receive her medical training at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University in 2011. She completed both her residency in General Psychiatry as well as her fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist at Rush University Medical Center. While at Rush, she was awarded the Wow! Award for exceptional patient care. She was involved in teaching medical students and writing book reviews. She has also authored a book chapter on disruptive disorders in adolescence.

She has been working at Edward Elmhurst Healthcare in Hinsdale, IL since 2016 and is dual board certified in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Her clinical interests include ADHD, anxiety and mood disorders as well as women’s mental health.

In her free time, Dr. Pant enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, baking, practicing her Italian language skills, and watching thrillers or foreign films.
