M. Susan Scanlon, MD, NCMP, FACOG, is a board certified gynecologist and author of The Gyne’s Guide for College Women. She has been practicing gynecology for 19 years. Dr. Scanlon is a graduate of Loyola Stritch School of Medicine and received her undergraduate degree from Boston College. She conducted her residency at University of Southern California/Los Angeles County and at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center, where she served as Chief Administrative Resident. Dr. Scanlon is also a Certified Menopause Practitioner (N.C.M.P.) by the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), a Certified daVinci Robotic Surgeon, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). She has received numerous honors including Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, and has been named a Top New Doctor in Integrated Care by Chicago Magazine. 

Dr. Scanlon provides gynecological care to women during all stages of life from adolescence to post menopause. She specializes in minimally invasive surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery including da Vinci Robotic hysterectomy, total laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic treatment of pelvic endometriosis, endometrial ablations, and complex pelvic surgery.

Dr. Scanlon has given hundreds of educational, professional, and charitable lectures in the Chicago area on topics including How to Be Healthy and Safe in College, Menopause Management, Bioidentical Hormones, Hysterectomy Options and Alternatives, Treating Abnormal Periods, and Contraceptive Options.
