Educational Requirements for Licensure

Students who complete our training program will have the necessary educational credentials to apply for licensure as a Professional Counselor/Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois.

State requirements are subject to change. These statements and program completion do not guarantee licensure. Students should review licensure requirements, including non-educational requirements such as certification/examination, work experience, background checks, etc., for the states in which they intend to seek certification/licensure. Current students relocating to a new state should also review that state's licensure requirements and contact your program to discuss any questions or concerns they may have. *Program meets state curriculum requirements, but additional requirements are needed.
