Meet the friendly faces of pharmacy students, alumni and faculty!

Jorie Kreitman

Lexi Sweetman
Student Pharmacist,
Class of 2018

Alexandria “Lexi” Sweetman, Class of 2018, has been named a Paul Ambrose Scholar by the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR). Limited to a select 40 students from pharmacy and other health professional schools each year, the Scholar’s program fosters the development of leaders in disease prevention and honors the memory of Paul Ambrose, MD, MPH, and his legacy of public health service and preventative medicine. During her time as a Scholar, Lexi will develop and implement a pharmacy student-led initiative aimed at reducing the abuse and misuse of prescription narcotics in Lake County, IL. She will also attend the APTR’s annual meeting in Philadelphia, PA where she will have the opportunity to present her project outcomes and network with national leaders in disease prevention and health promotion. Lexi is the third RFU pharmacy student to be named a Paul Ambrose Scholar in the past four years, highlighting RFU’s commitment to fostering future pharmacy leaders that will make an impact in the public health arena. Congratulations, Lexi!

University of Arizona

In my free time you can find me…
binge watching all of my favorite shows on Netflix, hanging with my family, or watching HGTV all day.

RFU is for me because…
it is a place I can call my home away from home. Because my program is so small, I get very individualized attention which is important to me and a reason why I chose RFU. Not only do I have friends in my class, but the faculty have become some of my friends as well, and to me that is why I succeed.
