Jewel-Osco Community Pharmacy Residency

Albertsons Companies operates over 180 community pharmacy locations under the Jewel-Osco banner in the Chicagoland market. Each residency position maintains a primary pharmacy affiliation in the western suburbs. The purpose of the program is to build upon the doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop community-based pharmacist practitioners with diverse patient care, leadership, and education skills.

Program Highlights:

• Provide patient care services, including medication therapy management (MTM), disease state management, diabetes education, wellness services, and routine and travel immunizations.
• Develop and implement pharmacy-based services.
• Manage and lead a profitable pharmacy that is clinically effective.
• Participate in corporate-level leadership opportunities involving pharmacy operations, managed care, recruiting, and compliance.
