Application Requirements

In addition to the university’s minimum requirements, applicants must meet the following admissions requirements:

Education

  • Graduate (masters or doctoral) degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education completed prior to application as a nurse practitioner.

Letters of Reference

Applicants may provide up to three professional references (one minimum) from individuals that are able to attest to the candidate’s academic or clinical performance. References must include a professor or faculty member from your nursing education program, nursing work supervisor (i.e. the person responsible for your annual nursing employment performance review), and/or a healthcare professional who you engaged with as part of a patient-centered interprofessional team.

Transcript

  • Final, official transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended, even if a degree was not awarded or expected.

Licensure

  • Current unencumbered license as a registered nurse and APRN (if applicable) in the United States, its territories or protectorates. National certification as a nurse practitioner.

Resume or Curriculum Vitae

  • A resume or curriculum vitae (CV) is required.
