How to Apply

  1. Review the Application Requirements
    • Review the application instructions. (Find them in the drop-down menu on the upper right on the NursingCAS home screen.) Go to NursingCAS to begin this process. At this site, once you are registered, be sure to select the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science Graduate Nurse Anesthesia Entry Program.
  2. Submit an Application & Fee
    • Please submit your application through NursingCAS
    • NursingCAS applications are available on August 23, 2017 with a submission deadline of January 31, 2018
    • Select candidates will be invited to campus for interviews
    • On-campus interviews will be held from November to February
  3. Submit Official Transcripts
    • Please submit transcripts from all universities and colleges attended to NursingCAS.
    • Only official transcripts will be accepted.
    • If you have studied outside the U.S., you will need to have your transcripts evaluated for U.S. equivalency using a services like or
  4. Submit Letters of Recommendation
    • Three letters are required, and should be written by at least three of the following:
      • Professor or faculty member from your nursing education program.
      • Your current immediate nursing work supervisor (i.e. the person responsible for your annual nursing employment performance review).
      • A CRNA with whom you have shadowed or who knows you well from a professional environment.
      • A Physician whose patients you routinely take care of in your critical care nursing employment position.
    • Letters of recommendation must be submitted to NursingCAS.
  5. Submit Standardized Test Scores
    • Request ETS to report your official GRE scores to Institution Code: 1117.
    • Official TOEFL scores report from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of any applicant who does not hold US citizenship or permanent residency. TOEFL scores can be reported to Rosalind Franklin University by ETS at Institution Code: 1117. The admissions committee will consider waiving the TOEFL requirement if:
      • An applicant who has been full-time students in a United States college or university for at least two consecutive years.
      • An applicant from a country in which English is the primary language.
  6. Background Check
    • Prior to matriculation, students must pass the Rosalind Franklin University criminal background check.
