As with everyone on campus, masks are encouraged for visitors, and any masking requirements are guided by CDC.Visitors should self-screen for COVID symptoms in advance of coming to campus.
All visitors must enter the campus and its facilities only through the main entrance (RWCLC circle drive doors, near the Rosalind Franklin statue facing Green Bay Road).
Each visitor must:
- Register/sign in with Campus Safety at the front desk and obtain a Visitor badge.
- Be sponsored by a RFU community member who notifies Campus Safety in advance that the visitor is expected.
- Comply with mask-wearing (surgical, N95, KN95, or KF94) and other protocols in place at the time of the visit.
- Be escorted throughout the building by the RFU community member sponsoring the visit.
- Sign out with Campus Safety at the conclusion of the visit.
Sponsored On-Campus Events
Student organizations, academic departments and programs, and administrative offices are able to host on-campus events. Scheduling general use space for on-campus events is managed through the Office of Scheduling Resources and Projects. All student-sponsored event planning is guided by the Office of Student Life.
Large-scale events: Events that expect 50 or more on-campus attendees — a total that would include those from within the RFU community and visitors — must coordinate safety planning with the Office of Scheduling Resources and Projects. Events of this size:
- Must be coordinated at the department level. Designated scheduling liaisons in each academic department can serve as the liaison for scheduling large-scale events.
- Must be scheduled in advance, and no later than two weeks prior to the date of the event.
- Require advance registration of participants.
- Require review and approval of a safety plan protocol appropriate for the location, duration, and planned activities for attendees.
The Office of Scheduling Resources and Projects is also able to assist event sponsors to coordinate other mitigation measures with Facilities, as needed.
Event Participant Protocols
Event participants are those who have registered in advance to participate in large-scale on-campus events and have received confirmation that they are cleared to attend in person.
Participants must:
- Enter the campus and its facilities only through the main entrance (RWCLC circle drive doors, near the Rosalind Franklin statue facing Green Bay Road).
- Comply with mask-wearing (surgical, N95, KN95, or KF94) and other protocols in place at the time of the visit.
- Show confirmation of clearance for in-person attendance to event staff.
- Follow all directional signage directing participants to the space or spaces reserved for the event.
- Follow all directions, including signage, for exiting the reserved space or spaces at the end of the scheduled event.
Sponsored Off-Campus Events
Student organizations, academic departments and programs, and administrative offices are able to host off-campus events. All student-sponsored event planning is guided by the Office of Student Life and any event that involves students should be cleared through the Office of Student Life. Safety plans for non-student events should be submitted to the Office of Scheduling Resources and Projects. All off-campus events require a safety plan consistent with the guidelines for on-campus events.
