How to Apply for Yellow Ribbon
- Check your Benefit Eligibility.
- Complete the Request for Veteran’s Benefits Form. (during those times of year when the Yellow Ribbon option is available).
- Students meeting Yellow Ribbon program criteria must also submit to the Office of the University Registrar, if not already on file, a copy of their VA Certificate of Eligibility showing 100% Chapter 33 benefit eligibility and Yellow Ribbon Program eligibility.
Please note: Program participants will be determined from the pool of completed applications on a first-come, first served basis for a limited number of spaces.
Each application will be time stamped on the date is received.
Under this commitment, Yellow Ribbon qualified students at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science will receive up to $2,000 per year, per student, not to exceed the cost of tuition. The VA will match the university’s contribution dollar-for-dollar, up to 50 percent of the difference between the student’s tuition benefit and the total cost of tuition and fees, limited to the $2,000 maximum set by the university.
