In this section
A team of students, faculty and staff from the College of Pharmacy and the Rosalind Franklin University Health Clinics visited Chicago’s B96 morning radio show on Nov. 6 to advocate for the flu vaccine and provide radio station staff with flu shots.
B96 invited Associate Professor Danielle Candelario, PharmD, to the morning show after she contacted host Gabe Ramirez to discuss his on-air comments about his hesitancy to get vaccinated. Pharmacy students Albert Cho and Krista Paplaczyk, both COP ’20, Assistant Professor Khyati Patel, PharmD, Associate Professor Lauren Angelo, PharmD, and Michael Smith, director of community health engagement for the RFU Health Clinics, accompanied Dr. Candelario to the studio, where she administered Gabe’s flu shot on-air. The team also informed listeners about the importance of protecting themselves and others this flu season.
