DNP: Nurse Anesthesia Entry Interview Details
Interview Format: Applicants will be interviewed at a series of four stations that will test each candidate's professional aptitude and communication skills in different ways: (1) Reading Comprehension Assessment, (2) Emotional Intelligence Station I: Role Play Exercise, (3) Emotional Intelligence Station II: Q&A, and (4) Emotional Intelligence Station III: Q&A.
Candidates have 10-20 minutes per station to answer questions and respond to scenarios. Each station has a different interviewer or interviewers who will rate the candidate's performance. On the day of your interview, an overview session will be held to provide more details and instruction on the interview process.
Check-in Instructions: It is imperative that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled interview time. Check-in will take place in the lobby of our Main Entrance (A on the campus map). The Admissions Committee cannot guarantee an interview to a late applicant. To ensure that the interview process runs smoothly and to allow for the possibility of delays beyond your control, (i.e. weather, traffic, etc.) we suggest that if you are from outside the area that you arrive in North Chicago one day early. All transportation and accommodation expenses are your responsibility.
The DNP: Nurse Anesthesia program reserves the right to cancel interview dates due to inclement weather or other unexpected situations. If this occurs, every attempt will be made to notify you and reschedule your interview.
Interview Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy: If your plans change and you’re unable to attend the interview as scheduled, we ask that you notify us immediately at grad.admissions@rosalindfranklin.edu or 847-578-3204 so that we can plan accordingly.
We will consider requests for rescheduling your interview, but please realize that interview seats fill up quickly and we may not be able to offer you an alternative interview date. It is in your best interest to attend your originally scheduled interview, if possible.
Other Important Details
You will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement upon check-in.
