Program Standards and Benchmarks

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Nurse Anesthesia Entry-Level program reports the following program outcomes:

  • The overall pass rate on the National Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) National Certification Examination (NCE), for all graduates since the inception of the program (2009-2022), is 100%
  • Attrition for the academic year 2021-2022 was 1.9%
  • For the most recent graduating class (2022):
    • The NBCRNA National Certification Examination pass rate for first-time takers was 87%
    • Attrition for the cohort was 5.3%
    • Employment of graduates as certified registered nurse anesthetists within 6 months of graduation was 100%

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Nurse Anesthesia Completion-Level program for practicing CRNAs reports the following program outcomes:

  • Attrition, since the inception of the program in 2015, is 11%
  • Of the 48 students who have started the program since 2015, 42 have graduated and 1 are still in process.
  • All students in the DNP Nurse Anesthesia Completion-Level program are licensed CRNAs
