Chicago Medical School Humanitarian Award

The CMS Humanitarian Award recognizes the full measure of a person’s worth, as someone whose efforts on behalf of others — especially the underserved  define a quality of character that embodies selfless service to improve health. Each year, it is awarded to up to two outstanding students who have exemplified sustained leadership and volunteerism in promoting and supporting the health needs of the global community. At least one substantial experience must have occurred during their time at Chicago Medical School.

The candidate must show examples of having a strong commitment to participating in or promoting activities that emphasize social responsibility in responding to health-related domestic and/or global issues. The awardee will receive both a plaque and a certificate.

DEADLINE: February 16, 2018

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be at least a second-year CMS student of good standing. Applicants can be self-nominated or nominated by faculty, staff or fellow students.
